Dr. William Hobbs, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon and fellowship-trained sports medicine specialist serving patients in Tyler, Texas, at the CHRISTUS Orthopedics & Sports Medicine Institute. Trained at the prestigious Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, where he also completed orthopedic surgery residency training, Dr. Hobbs further specialized through a Shoulder and Sports Medicine Fellowship at the Hospital for Special Surgery, affiliated with Cornell University.
Today, he combines elite orthopedic training with deep roots in the East Texas community, caring for everyone from competitive athletes and student athletes to active adults seeking relief from joint pain, shoulder injuries and arthritis. I'm so happy that he took the time to look over my imaging and prepare my options prior to my first visit. He was confident in what the problems were and what needed to be done to fix them. I feel that the state of my shoulder was overlooked/missed at my ortho appointment with a different provider. His nursing staff was so helpful anytime I called with questions.

My doctor Kevin Nixon is very nice thoughtful will lesson to me and HELP me with my problems.
Had to wait a while for the Doctor. Unfortunately he was running behind something he couldn't help. However someone should have come in and advised me what was going on. I was in the waiting room for at least 40 minutes before the doctor came in for a 10 minute visit.
